Steps to Add Owners & Managers to Your Google Business Profile:
Navigate to your Business Profile. Find your Google Business Profile.
Click on the Menu (the three little dots), followed by 'Business Profile Settings'.
Then, select 'People and Access'.
On the top-left corner, tap 'Add' followed by 'Invite New Users'.
Input a name or email address.
In the 'Access' dropdown, opt for 'Owner' or 'Manager'.
Hit 'Invite'.
When you invite a user they will receive an email invite to accept the request to manage the profile. This email should come within about 1 to 30 minutes.
Remember - you will need to have owner access to add managers and other owners.
Change Access or Remove Owners and Managers:
Follow the same process above, however instead of adding the user, just click on the existing user to change access level.
How to change the primary owner of the Google Business Profile:
If you want to change the primary owner of the account they first need to be added to the account as a manager or an owner for at least 7 days before becoming the primary owner.
Difference Between Primary Owner, Owner, and Manger
Primary Owner:
The person who created the Google My Business account.
Has full control over the account.
Can add or remove managers, transfer ownership, and change settings.
Responsible for ensuring the business information is correct.
Owner:
Given access by the primary owner to help manage the account.
Can add or remove managers, transfer ownership, and change settings.
Can respond to reviews, update business details, and add photos.
Cannot transfer ownership or remove the primary owner.
Manager:
Given access by the primary owner to help manage the account.
Can respond to reviews, update business details, and add photos.
Cannot transfer ownership or remove the primary owner.
